That second represents timing

If you are taking your first steps in adobe after effects and want to be able to do it straight away we recommend our course: after effects basic course . Below you will find a small guide to the terms to clarify your ideas. Spacing and timing in the world of animation to give you an idea of what spacing and timing mean in after effects (but also in other animation software)   here is an example. If an object moves 500 pixels from left to right in 1 second. That second represents timing .

The movement could be linear

In that second of movement. However. The movement could asia email list be linear or non-linear    that is: the object could start very slowly and then accelerate and finally decelerate… This has to do with the spacing of the movement. Timing is the time in which an object completes the movement. Spacing is the way in which the animation in terms of frames comes to life and can be linear or non-linear. In the image above you can see how (thanks to an echo effect appli  in after effects) the distance between one frame and another in the linear movement.

In the case in which the object

Is identical along the entire path that the EW Leads object takes ( the curve representing this movement is in fact a straight diagonal line)   while. In the case in which the object accelerates and then decelerates. The curve has an “s” shape which indicates precisely how the spacing between the frames is different. More dense frames at the beginning. Less in the center (maximum spe ) and again many frames when the object slows down. A 25 frames per second animation where a circle moves in one second the same distance in terms of pixels but differently thanks to spacing (linear and non-linear).
